Ready to take your professional or academic career to the next level?

The Australian Training Visa (Subclass 407) is designed for individuals who want to enhance their skills and abilities through structured, practical training. Whether you're looking to gain hands-on experience in your current field or improve your professional standing, this visa offers a unique opportunity to maximize your potential in Australia.

Benefits of the Training Visa (Subclass 407)

The Training Visa allows you to temporarily visit Australia to participate in occupational training or professional development programs. This visa supports various types of training, including:

  1. Training for Professional Registration or Licensing: This stream is for individuals who need to complete workplace-based training to gain professional registration, membership, or a license required to practice their occupation either in Australia or their home country.
  2. Structured Workplace Training for Skill Enhancement: If you are nominated by an approved temporary activities sponsor for an occupation on the skilled occupations list, this stream allows you to undertake structured, on-the-job training to enhance your skills in that specific field.
  3. Training to Sharpen Skills and Competency: This category is divided into three sub-streams:
    • Overseas Qualification: This is for students enrolled in a foreign educational institution who need to complete a period of practical training, research, or observation to fulfill the requirements of their degree.
    • Government Support: For individuals who have the support of an Australian or overseas government agency to undertake structured workplace-based occupational training
    • Professional Development: This is for overseas employers who wish to send their employees to Australia for a specialized professional development program tailored to their organization's needs.
